Home Care Packages are designed to provide older Australians access to care services within their own home. Home Care Packages are designed for individuals with complex needs who require additional services beyond what is available under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme. Home Care Package funding is allocated based on four levels with level 1 being the basic care needs and level 4 providing for complex and high need individuals.  Home Care Packages can be utilised for a range of services including domestic assistance such as cleaning, transport, meal preparation, personal care, reasonable home maintenance and social support.
